Spelling homework is set on a Friday, to be tested the following Friday, as is maths homework which can be accessed via Seesaw. Times tables are worked on regularly during the week at school, and we would encourage lots of practise at home, ideally through use of Times Tables Rockstars and the multiplication check practise site below. Fluency and speed of recollection of multiplication and division facts are absolutely key to mathematical success throughout Key Stage 2.

We expect that reading records are brought into school every day - these will check these each morning for messages and to check that children are changing their own books when needed, either from the library at school or from home. The children will have weekly lessons focussing on reading comprehension skills, with those who need extra support reading frequently 1:1 with an adult.
