Catering

Children are offered a range of tasty and healthy school meals that are prepared freshly, on site every day by Chartwells. Parents may decide on a daily basis whether their child will have a school lunch or bring in a packed lunch.

Current School Meals Menu

When the menus are updated, children are provided with the new version.

We are proud to work with Chartwells for your children’s school dinners. Chartwells believe that the key to fuelling young minds comes from understanding both what they need and what they enjoy, which is why they develop nutritious and delicious food that pupils love, alongside helping to ensure a healthy body and mind. Their passionate culinary experts work closely with us to ensure every child receives healthy food, perfectly suited to meet their needs and dietary requirements.

For children with food intolerances and allergies, Chartwells have a dedicated team of medical diet nutritionists on hand to support allergen aware children and their parents. More information on their medical diet process can be found here: The Chartwells Approach to Medical Diets | Chartwells

Lunch consists of a main meal (hot and cold with vegetarian options) followed by pudding, with water or milk to drink. Children may bring in a carton drink if they wish.

School meals are free of charge to all Infant children (from Reception to Year 2, inclusive). For more information please view the Universal Infant Free School Meals.

Even though school meals are free to Infants, it is vital that all parents / carers who are entitled to benefits still fill out the Free School Meal form , for every year that they are entitled (i.e. from Reception to Year 6). Our school will only receive additional funding if this form is completed. Please refer to our Pupil Premium page for information about how this additional funding has been spent to help your children.

Parents can book and pay for Junior meals via ParentPay, an online service, which offers you great daily flexibility.

Infant children benefit from the national free fruit and vegetables scheme and are provided with this on a daily basis to eat at break time. Juniors are encouraged to bring in a healthy snack for breakfast. Early Years children are also entitled to a free carton of milk up until their fifth birthday, which parents need to sign up to, via Cool Milk.
