Rotherfield Carnival Procession

Dear Parents,

This year we are hoping to take part in the Rotherfield and Mark Cross Carnival on Saturday
5th October, as part of the walking procession. We are a beneficiary of the carnival collection and
would like to show our support to them in this way.

All children are invited to walk with us, but must have an adult accompanying them. Whilst there will
be PTCA and staff members present on the night, we will not be responsible for the children during
the procession. Younger and older siblings are welcome too.

Our theme for the night is 'Neon' so come in as many bright colours and lights as you can! Remember
to dress warmly too as the temperature drops quickly during the evening.

We will meet at the bottom of Church Road, by the entrance to Brecon Cottages at 7.30pm, in time
for the procession to leave at 7.45pm. We will walk with the procession through the village, down
Station Road. There will be a short break at Town Row Bridge before walking back up the hill. Given
the lateness of the event and age of the children, we will leave the procession when it returns to the
Kings Arms Pub.

If your child/ren would like to join us on this occasion, please complete the attached slip and return to
the school office by Monday 23rd September.
