MyMaths, spellings and English homework are all need to be completed by Friday. Also, it is important for the children to read regularly at home, both independently and aloud to an adult. In addition, the children will need to ensure their timetable speed and recall are kept sharp by regular playing Times Table Rockstars as having a quick recall of timetable facts will help the children hugely in many areas of mathematics. |
Curriculum
This term, Einstein class are learning all about World War 2. We will be learning about many different aspects of the war, including: Evacuation, the Holocaust, and the Blitz. To coincide with our WW2 topic, we'll be reading Anne Frank's diary and writing some emotional and descriptive diary entries within our English lessons. The children will also be writing newspapers, cooking some WW2 food and creating large Anderson Shelters! Excitingly, we are ending the term with a trip to the Kent Life Museum to participate in two re-enactment workshops! Alongside our History topic, we will be learning about Electricity, recapping on our knowledge of circuits and symbols. In addition to this, we'll be having a lesson about the impact of electricity/technology in WW2 compared to the previous conflicts.
