Curriculum

This term, Goodall class are learning all about animals. We start the term with a visit from Ranger Stu where we will be meeting lots of different animals and finding out how we can group and classify them. Alongside our science topic, where we will be classifying animals and learning about their diets, we will also be studying the wildlife of Kenya, making animal faces out of different fabrics and singing animal songs! The children will be reading three fabulous books about some cheeky animals and writing their own fact files, animal themed stories and letters. In Maths we are focussing on the four operations this half term. We will be starting with a recap of addition and subtraction before moving on to creating arrays to solve simple multiplication problems and dividing by sharing into equal groups. We will also learn to count in groups of 2, 5 and 10. With Mrs Hackworth, we will be learning about Judaism and important Jewish symbols, traditions, and stories. What a fun filled half term we have got planned in Goodall Class!
