Gold mark for School Games

We are delighted to announce that we have recently been awarded the gold mark from the Primary School Games Award. We have been working closely with Tracy Lewis from Beacon Academy to develop our PE curriculum and increase the competitive sporting opportunities for our children. Throughout the year we have taken children to 12 inter-school competitions and events including KS1 multiskills events, cross country, football, netball and tag rugby. We have shown a commitment to ensuring children receive a minimum of two hours of high-quality PE in school and have delivered a variety of extra-curricular sporting opportunities through after school clubs including KS1 football, KS2 striking and fielding and netball. It has been lovely to engage with the local school games cluster again after a few years of being unable to do so due to the COVID lockdowns and we are looking forward to developing this next academic year.
