Jemison Class Trip to Battle Abbey
On Friday 23rd September, Jemison class enjoyed a fabulous day out at Battle abbey. The children took part in an informative session where they examined the build-up to the momentous Battle of Hastings. They beheld the spot where Harold Godwinson had fallen and, bearing Norman or Anglo-Saxon shields, re-enacted the battle of 1066. The children enjoyed climbing the steep, stone steps up to the Great Gatehouse and were immersed in a variety of interactive experiences in the exhibition centre and cinema room. A great day was had by all.
