NHS Healthy Living workshops

We were lucky enough to have a health team from the NHS visit Reception and Year 1 this week. They were all very informative, engaging and fun to have around ! The children listened well and joined in the activities provided, all of which were differentiated for each year group. George led an active workout of which the children loved and smiled all the way through. Eve told a story that the children had to say if certain things were healthy or not by doing the 'thumbs up' sign and Chris read a super book called 'Vegetable Glue' by Susan Chandler. This made the children laugh, but also sent a message to the children about the need to eat their vegetables ! The children had to complete a task to show what foods they thought were healthy and they all did this very well ! The team  were so good that I am organizing another visit after Easter !
