Year 6 Residential Trip May 2023
Update 7.15pm Thursday:
We spent this morning on the beach. It was so lovely to see the children enjoying themselves building sandcastles, playing rugby and hunting crabs. This afternoon has been action packed with Jacob's Ladder, Nightline, and then finishing off with the Leap of Faith. Children finally got to visit the shop and now we are heading out for a campfire. Tomorrow we have two more activitites before heading for home!

Update 8.15pm Wednesday:
Another beautiful day and, with a bit more sleep, the children have enjoyed another action-packed day. The low ropes course tested their team work and then the 3G swing was another popular activity.
This afternoon the children (and some adults) became human spiders, scaling the really tall climbing wall while the others belayed them from below. A cooler activity building shelters in the woods finished off the afternoon. They are just off for a karaoke session.
Update 8.30pm Tuesday:
After a short night's sleep, we have had a lovely day in the sunshine. We learned to light a fire using flint and steel, went on a long hilly walk to Culver monument and enjoyed an ice lolly at the top.
This afternoon we aimed for the bullseye in archery and then the highlight of the day was the long zip line. Lots of children (and adults) conquered their fears and flew down the wire several times in various poses! Everyone is having lots of fun.
Update 7.30pm Monday:
We arrived at 3.15 after a good journey. The children have made their beds and settled into their rooms. They have completed a series of problem-solving activities before enjoying a dinner of sausage and mash. Tonight, they are taking part in mini Olympic Games.
On Monday 22nd Year 6 head to the Isle of Wight for a week's holiday. We will update this page with photos and information about their adventures.
